| A Girl's Rescue through a Sacrifice |
| People were living up the river Ivdel. They were attacked by an army, everbody was killed. Only one girl remained, she fled. She got on a boat and paddled downstream. She paddled for a long time or a short time and arrived at these rapids. At the head of the rapids she turned her paddle sideways, took her silver earrings out of her ears and threw them into the water on both sides of the boat. While she was throwing them she says: Woman with an iron sideboard, Woman with a stone sideboard, if I could only go to you somewhere! Take my spirit, If I only didn't get killed by the army!" She laid her face on the oar and was taken somewhere. When she regained consciousness, her boat was stranded on a sandy shore and sits there stuck. Then she pushed away into the river. She paddled, she paddled down the Lozva. Now she lives as a spirit somewhere on the lower Lozva. |
| Rettung eines Mädchens durch ein Opfer |
| Am Oberlauf des Ivdel lebten Menschen. Ein Heer fiel über sie her und tötete alle. Nur ein Mädchen überlebte, sie floh. Sie setzte sich in ein Boot und ruderte stromabwärts. Sie ruderte für lange oder eine kurze Zeit, da kam sie zu dieser Stromschnelle. Auf der Höhe dieser Stromschnelle legte sie die Ruder quer, löste die silbernen Ohrringe aus ihren Ohren und warf sie beiderseits des Bootes ins Wasser. Beim Werfen der Ohrringe sagt sie: Gebieterin mit eisernem Seitenbrett, Gebieterin mit steinernem Seitenbrett, wenn ich doch nur irgendwohin zu dir gelangen könnte! Nimm meinen Geist, Wenn mich nur das Heer nicht tötet!" Sie legte ihr Gesicht auf das Ruder und wurde irgendwohin gefahren. Nachdem sie wieder zu sich gekommen war, war das Boot an den Ufersand geschoben und steckte nun dort fest. Dann stieß sie ihr Boot ins Wasser. Sie ruderte und ruderte die Lozva flussab. Sie lebt nun als Schutzgeist irgendwo am Unterlauf der Lozva. |
