| Once the north wind and the sun quarreled which one was the strongest. At that time they noticed a man wrapped in a baize coat striding along the path, they looked him over. The one, who could make the man walking along take his coat off, would be considered to be the strongest. Then the north wind started to blow with all his might, but the stronger the wind becomes, the more the man wraps himself in his coat. So the north wind stopped his manipulative work. After that the sun came out. Slowly the man striding along got warm and soon he took off his baize coat. Then the north wind agreed that the sun is stronger than him. |

| Einst stritten sich der Nordwind und die Sonne, welcher der stärkste sei. Da bemerkten sie, dass ein in einen Tuchpelz gekleideter Mann den Weg entlang geht, sie musterten ihn. Der stärkste von ihnen könnte der sein, der den gehenden Mann dazu bringen könnte, sich auszuziehen. Zu dieser Zeit begann der Nordwind mit seiner ganzen Kraft zu blasen, doch je stärker der Wind wird, desto mehr versteckt sich der Mann in seinem Mantel. Тут Северный Ветер прекратил свою разрушительную работу. После этого появилось солнце. Путешественнику стало тепло, и вскоре он снял свое пальто.
